To visit Seville’s old town by car, park in an underground car park on its edge: Paseo Colón by the river from €2.50 an hour, or a full day from €18.50 at the municipal Mercado del Arenal (Parclick prices, October 2026). Street parking in the blue zone costs €1.70 for the two-hour maximum and is free on Sundays. The historic centre is not a low-emission zone, but many lanes in Santa Cruz are closed to visitors’ cars. This guide covers the best car parks for the Cathedral, the Alcázar and Plaza de España, street rates and free times.
Do you need a car? Not for the old town, which is best explored on foot. A car pays off for Córdoba, Cádiz, Ronda or the white villages: compare car rental at Seville Airport on DiscoverCars, or see our car hire in Spain guide.
The Casco Antiguo, with the Cathedral, the Real Alcázar, Santa Cruz and El Arenal, is a maze of narrow lanes where many streets are closed to through traffic or reserved for residents. Do not try to park next to the sights: drive to an underground car park on the edge of the old town and walk. Street parking around it is run by the municipal company AUSSA (GES zones, paid at the meter or in the Apparkya app) and is limited to two hours in the blue zone. This page covers the centre only; for the whole city, the train station and cheaper outer car parks see our main Seville parking guide.

Underground car park at Paseo de Colón 10 on the riverbank, between the Maestranza bullring and the Torre del Oro. From here it is a short walk along Avenida de la Constitución to the Cathedral and the Alcázar, and Triana is across the bridge. Parclick showed prices from €2.50 for one hour on 19 October 2026, so it suits a short visit as well as a full day. See Paseo Colón on Parclick.
Municipal car park under the Arenal market, entrance on Calle Genil, in the El Arenal quarter behind the bullring. 245 spaces and a height limit of 1.90 m, so check before you arrive with a van or a roof box. From €18.50 per day on Parclick. See Mercado del Arenal on Parclick.
Covered car park at Calle San Pablo 3, by the Magdalena church, a few minutes from Plaza Nueva, Calle Sierpes and the Cathedral. The most central option, but also the dearest: from €45 per day on Parclick, so it makes more sense for a few hours. See APK2 Magdalena on Parclick.
Underground car park under Plaza de la Concordia, on the northern edge of the old town, a walk from the Setas de Sevilla (Metropol Parasol) and the Alameda de Hércules. From €27.49 per day on Parclick. See SABA Plaza Concordia on Parclick.
Car park on the river by the Cristo de la Expiración bridge, next to the Plaza de Armas shopping centre on the western edge of the old town. Parclick lists it with live prices for your dates. See APK2 Arjona on Parclick.

Sundays are not part of the paid schedule. Overstayed? A notice for exceeding the time can be cancelled for €4.60 with a code from the meter or the Apparkya app; other fines cannot be cancelled this way.
Inside the old town, practically nowhere: kerbs are either GES zones, loading bays or residents’ spaces. Free parking near the centre means using the GES zones when they are not paid: on Sundays, outside the paid hours above, and on weekday afternoons and Saturdays in July and August. Otherwise, streets without markings are further out, beyond Triana or Nervión, and you will need a bus back. For a full day, a car park is usually cheaper than collecting two-hour tickets.
Old town access. Many lanes in Santa Cruz and around the Cathedral are closed to general traffic and reserved for residents, taxis and authorised vehicles. Follow the signs rather than your satnav, and if your hotel is inside the old town, ask it before arrival how to reach it and where to leave the car. We could not open the City of Seville’s official pages on the restricted-access zones today, so we do not quote fines or permit rules.
Low-emission zone. The historic centre is not a ZBE. Seville’s only low-emission zone is La Cartuja island (the Expo ’92 site), Monday to Friday except public holidays, 7:00 to 19:00, for cars without a Spanish DGT label (0, ECO, C or B), according to the RACE motoring club and Spanish press. Extending it to the old town and Triana has been debated but not approved.
During Holy Week, processions close the Carrera Oficial (Campana, Sierpes, Plaza de San Francisco, Avenida de la Constitución and the Cathedral) and many surrounding streets, and central car parks fill up early. During the Feria de Abril the pressure moves to Los Remedios, across the river. In both weeks, book a car park in advance or leave the car outside the centre and use public transport.
