Vilafranca del Penedès — Catalonia's wine capital — meters its centre six days a week: blue and orange zones run Monday–Saturday 9:30–13:30 & 16:30–20:30 with a 2-hour cap in blue. The lunch window is free, the cava cellars are walkable, and the Saba garage under Plaça del Penedès mops up market days. The 2026 guide.

| Zone | Rules | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Blue | Mon–Sat 9:30–13:30 & 16:30–20:30 · 2h max | Centre visits |
| Orange | Longer-stay regulated bays | Half days |
| Saba Plaça del Penedès | Underground, central | Market Saturdays, rain |
| Free fringe | Beyond the regulated ring | All day |
Most cava and wine houses (and the VINSEUM wine museum) cluster within ten minutes of the Plaça de la Vila — one parking spot serves the whole tasting circuit. Driving between cellars in the countryside? Estate parking is free and generous; it's only the town core that meters. Saturday is market day — street supply evaporates by 9:00, which is what the Saba garage is for.
Monday–Saturday 9:30–13:30 and 16:30–20:30, two hours maximum — lunch and evenings free.
The Saba garage under Plaça del Penedès — street bays are gone by 9:00.
Estate cellars outside town have free visitor parking; only the town core is metered.
Blue is short-rotation (2h cap); orange allows longer regulated stays at different pricing — read the bay's sign.
