A secure motorhome space in Barcelona costs from €30 per 24 hours (Camper Park Barcelona, Zona Franca) to €40 per day (Wheels Rest, next to the metro). There is no municipal aire, underground car parks are too low, and sleeping in a vehicle on the street is not allowed. This guide lists the car parks and campsites that actually take motorhomes in 2026, with addresses and prices, and explains the low-emission-zone rules for foreign vehicles.

Barcelona has no municipal motorhome aire, and ordinary underground car parks are too low for a camper. In practice you choose between a private, fenced motorhome car park inside the city, a campsite on the coast with a bus or train into town, or a short daytime stop. Sleeping in a vehicle on the street is not a realistic option: the city’s rules on public space do not allow camping in vehicles.

Private, fully fenced car park for motorhomes in transit, in the Zona Franca area south-west of the centre. Access is by code, staff are on site during the day, and the gate is open from 9:00 to 23:00. A full 24 hours costs €30; a day stay, leaving before 22:00, costs €20. According to the operator’s own listing, filling up with drinking water costs €3 and emptying grey and black water €5.
Fenced car park with code access and 24-hour video surveillance in the north of the city, one minute on foot from a metro station and three minutes from the B-20 ring road. Electric hook-up, toilet and rubbish disposal are listed among the services. It is billed by the minute, so it also works for a visit of a few hours.
The city’s parking company B:SM accepts motorhomes up to 7 metres long at its coach park near the Poblenou seafront. It is open 24 hours with video surveillance and toilets, and the height gauge is 4.5 m. There is no public price list: you contact the sales department first (tel. 93 409 20 21), are assigned a space and a daily rate, and pay by card at the machine.
Camping Barcelona in Mataró, on the coast north of the city (Avinguda del Maresme 665), is open from 1 March to 1 November and takes motorhomes up to 15 metres. It runs its own daily bus to the centre of Barcelona, near Plaça Catalunya, for €4.50 one way or €9 return (booking required), and a free shuttle to Mataró railway station. It also offers a simple parking service without electricity for vehicles up to 9 metres: €12 per day in low season and €20 per day from 10 to 26 July.
Camping Tres Estrellas in Gavà (C-31, km 186.2) lies on the beach south of the airport. It does not publish pitch prices or season dates on its website, so ask before you go.
The ring roads themselves (Ronda de Dalt and Ronda del Litoral) are not restricted, and the zone does not apply at weekends, on public holidays or at night. According to the city, the Zona Franca district is outside the zone. We could not consult the AMB pages with the registration fee and the exact emission thresholds, so check them on the official site before travelling.
Parking a road-legal motorhome in an ordinary street bay is treated like parking any other vehicle, within the limits of the bay and the local signs. Barcelona’s traffic ordinance prohibits leaving a vehicle in the same place for more than eight consecutive days and parking a trailer detached from its towing vehicle. Living in the vehicle is another matter: the city’s ordinance on the use of public space does not allow camping or sleeping in vehicles, motorhomes or caravans on public roads. For the night, use one of the car parks or campsites above.
