Street parking in Calp costs €1.10 an hour in the blue zone (maximum 3 hours) and €1.45 an hour in the orange beach zone, which runs from June to September (maximum 6 hours). Streets without coloured lines are free, the covered APK2 Calpe garage behind the Arenal-Bol beach starts at €21.25 a day on Parclick, and the Penyal d’Ifac summit path needs a free visitor booking. Do you need a car? For Calp itself, not really: the old town, the Arenal-Bol beach and the Penyal d’Ifac are walkable from each other. A car pays off for day trips to Altea, Guadalest, the Jalón valley or Valencia, and for the trip from the airport. Calp (Calpe in Spanish) has two kinds of paid street parking. The blue zone covers the town centre and shopping streets all year; the orange zone covers the streets by the beaches and runs only in the summer season, which the town extended to June to September. The old green zone no longer exists: its streets became blue zone. Streets without coloured markings are free.

Street prices are the general (non-resident) rates of the new regulated-parking contract that Calp awarded in 2025; residents and local businesses pay €0.25 and €0.35 per hour. The council has not published the tariff on its website, so check the meter or the sign on the street before you pay. Source: Alicante Plaza report on the new contract.
The new contract covers about 920 blue-zone spaces and 1,135 orange-zone spaces. Compared with the previous contract, the general rate went up (blue €0.85 to €1.10, orange €0.95 to €1.45 per hour), but you can now stay longer: 3 hours instead of 2 in the blue zone and 6 hours instead of 3 in the orange zone. Motorbikes and electric cars no longer park free, and a payment made in the parking app counts as valid proof, so you do not need a paper ticket if you pay by phone.

Calp has not published the exact enforcement hours or fine amounts online, so we do not quote them. The hours are printed on every meter and zone sign.
The limit you may have read about applies to people, not cars. To walk the Ruta Roja through the tunnel towards the summit of the Penyal d’Ifac you need a free advance booking from the Generalitat Valenciana natural-parks service, with a cap of 300 visitors a day; under-18s are not allowed beyond the tunnel. Parking at the foot of the rock is limited and fills early in summer, so in July and August arrive early or park by the Arenal-Bol beach and walk along the seafront.

Covered car park at Carrer Major s/n, with the entrance on Avinguda Valencia 2J, just behind the Arenal-Bol promenade and Avenida Gabriel Miró. Open 24 hours, height limit 2.1 m. Parclick also lists Plaça de la Pau (Avinguda Comunitat Valenciana 9, from €15 a day), but that car park is in neighbouring Altea, so it only helps if you stay there.
Old town (Casco Antiguo): narrow streets and blue zone; park on the edge and walk up.
Arenal-Bol beach and Penyal d’Ifac: orange zone along the beach streets in summer, APK2 Calpe garage behind the promenade, free unmarked streets further inland.
La Fossa and Cantal Roig: check the kerb colour: beach streets can be orange zone from June to September.
Every street without blue or orange markings is free. Outside June to September the beach streets lose their orange-zone charge, which makes Calp easy in spring and autumn. In July and August the free streets near the beaches fill by mid-morning, so arrive before 10:00 or accept a 10 to 15 minute walk.
