Granada's ZBE is one of the strictest in Spain – 23.55 km² covering essentially the entire urban perimeter, enforced 24/7 by 18 cameras since 1 October 2025. Vehicles without a DGT environmental sticker and registered outside Granada face a €200 fine (€100 with early pay). Tourists are exempt if they stay at an authorised hotel that registers the plate, or park for over 1 hour in an authorised car park (full list at movilidadgranada.com/zbe_parkings.php). For the Alhambra, use the official Parkia car park at €3.30/h, €22.90/day. The Albayzín has its own access-restricted zone separate from the ZBE – €200 fine for unauthorised entry.
The ZBE was approved earlier but cameras started fining non-resident vehicles without DGT stickers on 1 October 2025. Coverage: 23.55 km² – far larger than Madrid Central or Barcelona's perimeter.
