Street parking in Figueres is run by Fisersa, the municipal services company. The regulated area has four colours: blue for short stays (481 bays), green for residents (814 bays), a handful of orange 20-minute bays next to the Dalí Theatre-Museum and red park-and-walk areas at the edge of the centre. Underground car parks are operated by SABA and Empark, and the city also keeps a ring of free car parks. The museum itself stands in a traffic-restricted part of the old town and has no car park of its own.

The 2026 tariff published by Fisersa starts at €0.20 for 20 minutes, the shortest ticket you can buy, and rises in steps to €2.55 for the two-hour maximum. According to Fisersa, you pay on working days from Monday to Saturday, from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00. Sundays and public holidays are free, and so is the midday break. The city council’s own parking page gives 9:00 as the morning start, so check the sign on your street before you leave the car in the first hour.

Meters take coins, chip cards and contactless cards. The alternative is the EasyPark app, which the city recommends: you choose the blue or green area, start the session and stop it when you drive away, so you pay only for the time used.
Green area. These streets give priority to residents, who pay €0.20 a day. Visitors from outside Figueres may park there too, at the blue-area tariff and with the same two-hour limit, but the paid hours are longer: Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 21:00 without a break.
Orange area. There is only one: six bays on Pujada del Castell, level with Torre Galatea, right beside the museum. The maximum stay is 20 minutes and it costs €0.20. It is meant for dropping someone off or collecting tickets, not for a visit.
Red area. Red bays are park-and-walk spaces without the two-hour limit. In class A you get two free hours once a day and a full day costs €1. In class B parking is free up to the time shown on the sign. In both cases you register your number plate at the meter. The city’s tourism site lists the Avinguda Vilallonga car park (325 spaces) as a red area.
The museum is at Plaça Gala-Salvador Dalí 5. The Dalí Foundation describes the location as a traffic-restricted area in the city centre, so you cannot drive up to the door. By motorway, the foundation recommends the AP-7, exit 3 (Figueres Nord). In October 2026 the museum opens Tuesday to Sunday from 10:30 to 18:00, and tickets start at €18.50.

The Castell de Sant Ferran car park is by the fortress, on the same Pujada del Castell that climbs past the museum, and suits a combined visit to the fortress and the museum. Outside the coloured areas, street parking is free unless a sign says otherwise, with the general limit of 72 hours in the same spot.
No. Figueres has just under 50,000 inhabitants and was on the first list of Catalan towns that had to create a low-emission zone (ZBE), but according to the 2026 overviews published by VilaWeb and betevé it is among the municipalities the Catalan government has released from that obligation because of their air quality. No environmental sticker is needed to drive into Figueres. The only restriction is the pedestrian and restricted-traffic core of the old town around the museum and the Rambla.
