Cádiz activated its ZBE on 1 January 2026 – the Casco Antiguo and Paseo Marítimo are now camera-enforced 24/7 with a €200 fine (€100 early pay). Tourist-friendly news: vehicles with any DGT sticker (ECO, CERO or C in 2026; only ECO/CERO from 2027) can enter freely. The smartest covered garage is Muelle Reina Sofía (EYSA, 581 spaces) with a €8.58 daily cap – the cheapest 24-hour rate in the city. Free parking exists in Puerta Tierra (Av. Andalucía, Bahía Blanca, San Severiano) with a 25-minute walk or city bus line 1 into the old town. For Carnival (5-24 February) the city flips to 11,770 spaces with traffic closures around Plaza de la Campana – book ahead.
After an information phase to July 2025, the ZBE started fining vehicles on 1 January 2026.

Hours of enforcement: Summer (1 Jun-15 Sep): Mon-Sun incl. holidays, 09:30-21:00. Rest of year: Mon-Fri 09:00-14:00 + 16:00-20:00; Sat 09:00-14:00. Sundays and holidays free outside summer.
Cádiz is a narrow peninsula – free street parking is scarce in the old town but plentiful in Puerta Tierra.
Long stretches of free unrestricted street parking in the new town, behind the Ciudad de Cádiz sports complex. Walk via Playa de la Victoria (25 min) or take CMTBC bus line 1 to the centre (10-15 min). Best base for visitors driving in.
Streets behind ADIF station have unregulated parking. Note: during Carnival 165 spaces are flipped to resident-only.
Free roadside south of the Cortadura roundabout – outside the ZBE perimeter. Popular park-and-walk for day visitors. The northern Paseo Marítimo strip is now inside the ZBE so only park south of Cortadura.
The Consortium of Bahía de Cádiz offers free parking at Rota and El Puerto de Santa María when using the maritime catamaran service (CMTBC transport card). Park outside Cádiz proper, ferry into Plaza San Juan de Dios.
ZBE-restricted. No tourist driving recommended. Best covered option: Muelle Reina Sofía (€8.58/day) or Canalejas. On-street Zona Azul/Naranja only if you have a sticker that meets ZBE rules.
Outside the ZBE (except the Paseo Marítimo strip). Mix of free streets (Av. Andalucía, Bahía Blanca, San Severiano) + Zona Azul/Naranja + covered options (Varela-Playa, Ana de Viya). The logical park-and-walk base.
The north strip is now inside the ZBE since January 2026. South of Cortadura roundabout is outside. Beach lots in summer fill before 10:00.
SABA Estación de Tren is the obvious park. The Plaza de Sevilla zone is unregulated mostly except during Carnival.
Main public weekends 20-22 February. EMASA reorganises 5-24 Feb:
Recommendation: park free in Puerta Tierra extramuros or use the reinforced CMTBC bus + maritime shuttle service.

Telpark is the official EMASA partner. EasyPark and ElParking also work. MOVA (Malaga app) does NOT work in Cadiz.
