The cheapest way to park in Vicenza is the Centrobus park-and-ride at Cricoli, Stadio or Mercato Nuovo: the driver pays €2.90 for a return bus ticket and parking from 6:30 to 22:00 is included. The historic centre is a ZTL whose nine camera gates record 24 hours a day, so do not drive in without a permit. Covered Garage Castello by the station can be booked on Parclick from €12 a day. Do you need a car? Not for Vicenza itself: the centre is walkable and trains run to Verona, Padua and Venice. A car pays off for the Palladian villas, Bassano del Grappa and the Asiago plateau. You cannot park in Vicenza’s historic centre: the area of the Basilica Palladiana, Corso Palladio and the Teatro Olimpico is a ZTL watched by cameras. Visitors have two good options: a Centrobus park-and-ride on the edge of town, where parking is included in a €2.90 return bus ticket, or a barrier car park just outside the city walls. Since November 2025 the city’s paid parking has been run by Municipia together with Gestopark; the old GPS operator and its app no longer work in Vicenza.

Rental companies pass ZTL fines on to the driver with an admin fee.
SVT, the local bus company, runs three large car parks on the edge of town with shuttle buses to the centre. You buy a return bus ticket at the machine, and parking from 6:30 to 22:00 comes with it.

The municipal barrier car parks are now run by Municipia and Gestopark. They take tickets and Telepass at the gate, and cards at the pay machines. According to the council, Fogazzaro, inside the walls by Contra’ Pedemuro San Biagio, is meant for short stays, while Cattaneo and Strasburgo, just outside the walls, are meant for long stays. Other barrier car parks are Matteotti, Canove Vecchie, Bologna, Bandiera and P4 Fiera. Tariffs are posted at each entrance and on sostavicenza.it.
For Villa La Rotonda and Villa Valmarana ai Nani there is a small public car park next to Via della Rotonda 48: 19 spaces, €2 an hour from 8:00 to 20:00, holidays included, paid at the meter or by app.
Covered garage at Viale Roma 10, between the railway station and Porta Castello, at the western edge of the historic centre. Open Monday to Thursday and Sunday 7:00–22:00, Friday and Saturday 7:00–24:00. Parclick showed prices from €12 per day. See Garage Castello on Parclick.
Blue lines are paid at the meter or by app; Telepass lists Vicenza among its blue-line cities. Paid hours and prices are on the meter and the street sign, and some streets keep spaces for residents only. Vicenza has no official free car park for visitors near the centre: the cheapest choice is the Centrobus park-and-ride, where parking costs nothing on top of the bus ticket. Free white-line spaces exist further out, but the council publishes no map of them, so we do not name streets.
