What parking costs in Cosenza
City and SABA tariffs, 25 October 2026
The city is divided into four paid sectors: red (1), orange (2), green (3) and yellow (4). The price is the same everywhere, €1.30 a ticket, but the time you get for it is not. The red sector covers the most central streets and was extended to the Lungo Busento area and west to Viale della Repubblica; the orange and green sectors reach Via Popilia, and the yellow sector runs from Via Panebianco to Viale Crati. You pay on working days, Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 to 20:00. Residents park with a municipal Parking Card, which visitors cannot get.
SABA runs three large car parks, all open 24 hours with a 2 m height limit. Cars running on LPG are not allowed in any of them. Online bookings on sabait.it have different prices from the on-site rates and add a €3.50 booking fee.

Yes. The blue lines are paid only Monday to Saturday from 8:00 to 20:00, so street parking in a blue bay is free in the evening, overnight and on Sundays. White-lined bays (strisce bianche) outside the paid sectors are normally free unless a sign says otherwise; yellow bays are reserved for residents, disabled badge holders or deliveries. For a full day, SABA Tribunale at €5 is often the easier choice.
The historic centre (centro storico) on the hill above the meeting point of the Crati and Busento rivers is a limited traffic zone (ZTL). The ZTL Centro Storico covers Corso Telesio and Piazza XV Marzo, and the city has further ZTLs, for example around Piazza Santa Teresa. Access is controlled by electronic gates (varchi) with cameras, and only permit holders may drive in. The city’s ZTL rules do not state hours that would let visitors in, so do not drive past a gate. Park in the modern centre, for example at Piazza Bilotti, cross the Busento and walk up Corso Telesio to the Cathedral.
