Street parking in Seville’s blue zone costs €1.70 for the two-hour maximum in 2026, and Sundays are free. For longer stays use a car park: Paseo Colón by the river from €2.50 an hour, or a full day from €10 at AUSSA Rafael Salgado on Parclick. This guide covers the GES zone rates and hours (including the July–August timetable), the best car parks for the old town, free options and the La Cartuja low-emission zone.

✓ UP TO DATELast updated: 15 October 2026
Rewritten from AUSSA’s official GES rates (blue €1.70 / 2 h, Mar €1.25 / 1 h, green €2.00 / 3 h), real hours and the €4.60 overstay cancellation; seven real car parks with Parclick prices; La Cartuja ZBE status; invented rates, apps and garages removed.

Do you need a car? Not in Seville itself, where the old town is compact and many streets are closed to traffic. For Córdoba, Cádiz, Ronda or the white villages you do: compare car rental at Seville Airport on DiscoverCars, or see our car hire in Spain guide.

How Parking Works in Seville

Street parking in Seville is regulated by the GES system (Gestión de Estacionamiento en Superficie, formerly ORA), run for the city by the municipal company AUSSA. There are three paid zones: Mar for very short stops, Azul (blue) for up to two hours and Verde (green) for up to three. You pay at the meter or in AUSSA’s Apparkya app. For a whole day in the centre, a car park is the only practical choice, and several can be booked on Parclick.

Sundays are not part of the paid schedule. Cars with the Spanish electric-vehicle badge get the first ticket of the day free, and vehicles showing a disabled parking card are exempt. Motorbikes do not pay but may only use the spaces marked for them.

Overstayed your ticket? A parking notice for exceeding the time can be cancelled for €4.60 with a code from the meter or the Apparkya app. This only works for overstays; any other fine goes through the city’s sanctions office.

Where Is Parking Free in Seville?

Street parking is free wherever there is no GES marking or other sign, and the paid zones themselves are free on Sundays, on weekday afternoons and Saturdays in July and August, and outside the hours above. Near the Cathedral, Santa Cruz and El Arenal, however, almost every kerb is regulated or reserved for residents, so free spaces mean a long walk or a bus ride. For a cheap full day, Rafael Salgado at €10 is usually better value than hunting for a free space; for two hours, the blue zone at €1.70 is the cheapest legal option in the centre.

Low-Emission Zone (ZBE) in 2026

Seville’s only low-emission zone so far is La Cartuja, the island across the river with the Expo ’92 site, split into Cartuja Norte and Cartuja Sur. According to the RACE motoring club and Spanish press, it applies Monday to Friday (except public holidays) from 7:00 to 19:00. Cars with a DGT 0, ECO, C or B label may enter; cars without a label may not, unless they qualify for an exemption, and fines for entering have been issued since 1 January 2026. The historic centre is not part of the ZBE. A new ordinance that would limit fines to high-pollution days was put out to public consultation in June 2026 but has not been approved yet. We could not reach the city’s official ZBE page today, so check it before you drive into La Cartuja with an older car.
