The streets around the Mezquita-Catedral are closed to general traffic, so park on the edge of the old town: Paseo de la Victoria from €2.40 an hour, or a full day from €13 at Córdoba Centro on Parclick. Córdoba charges for street parking in a blue zone controlled by parking meters. The tariff is set every year in the city’s tax ordinance no. 407, and the 2026 version has applied since 1 January. The historic centre around the Mezquita-Catedral is an access-restricted area (ACIRE) that also serves as the city’s low-emission zone, so most visitors park on its edge and walk in. In the blue zone you buy time at the meter in steps of €0.05, from a minimum of €0.25 for 15 minutes to the two-hour maximum of €1.70. The ordinance allows payment by coins, prepaid cards or credit cards; the ticket shows the time it expires and goes behind the windscreen. Residents of a metered street pay a reduced rate on their own street.

Paid hours. The council sets the days and hours of the blue zone separately and shows them on the meters and street signs; we could not find them published online, so check the meter before you walk away.
Exemptions. Zero-emission electric cars get the first hour of the day free, once a day. Cars displaying a disabled parking card park free and without the two-hour limit.
You cannot drive up to the Mezquita. Its surroundings, Calle Torrijos, Calle Cardenal Herrero and Calle Magistral González Francés, are closed to general traffic and surface parking is banned; only residents, authorised vehicles, taxis and horse carriages get in. The general ticket costs €15. On 14 October 2026 the Mezquita-Catedral is open from 10:00 to 19:00, and from Monday to Saturday there is a free visit from 8:30 to 9:30 (no groups).

Street parking is free wherever there is no blue-zone marking or other sign, but near the old town most streets are either metered or reserved, so expect a longer walk. For a short visit, the blue zone itself is cheap: two hours cost €1.70, less than an hour in most car parks. If you need a full day, Córdoba Centro on Avenida del Aeropuerto is the cheapest bookable option at €13. The city’s tax ordinance also sets a fee of €0.91 per car per day for municipal car parks without a time limit, paid to the attendant against a receipt.
Córdoba’s low-emission zone has been part of the city’s traffic ordinance since February 2023, and it covers exactly the same streets as the existing ACIRE restricted-traffic areas of the historic centre. Free access without registering is allowed for cars with the DGT 0 or ECO environmental label, for bicycles and for any car heading to a car park that can only be reached through the zone. Hotel guests, residents, garage users and blue-badge holders are on the list of exemptions, which require authorisation, so ask your hotel before you drive in. With any other car, park outside the restricted area and walk.
