Street parking in Turin costs €1.20 to €2.80 an hour, Monday to Saturday from 8:00 to 19:30, and is free on Sundays; the GTT car parks under the centre charge €2 an hour or €14 a day. The cheapest way in is Park&Ride at Fermi, Caio Mario or Stura: €5.50 a day including public transport. The ZTL Centrale is closed to visitors only on weekday mornings, 7:30 to 10:30. Do you need a car? Not for Turin itself: the centre is flat and walkable, and the metro, trams and buses cover the rest. A car pays off for the Langhe and Barolo wine villages, the Alps and the Savoy residences. Almost all public parking in Turin is run by GTT, the city transport company: the blue street spaces (strisce blu), 23 multi-storey and underground car parks, and the park-and-ride sites at metro and tram termini. Street parking costs €1.20 to €2.80 an hour from Monday to Saturday, 8:00 to 19:30, and Sundays are free. The central ZTL only closes to unauthorised cars on weekday mornings, from 7:30 to 10:30.

Source: City of Turin ZTL Centrale page. GTT issues no ZTL permits for foreign-registered cars, so visitors should time their arrival after 10:30 or at the weekend. The ZTL Area Romana and the bus lanes apply in the evening and at weekends too, so do not follow the sat-nav through them. If you drive into a public car park inside the ZTL during the morning window (Valdo Fusi or Santo Stefano), give your plate to the car park staff straight after entering and no later than 11:00, so it is registered and not fined.
GTT runs the big public car parks under the main squares. Their published maximum height is 1.9 m unless a sign says otherwise, and LPG cars may only use the first basement level.

At the GTT interchange car parks a Park&Ride day ticket costs €5.50: €1 for parking plus €4.50 for travel on the whole urban and suburban network for one person, valid on the day of issue. Without the transport ticket, parking alone costs €0.50 an hour.

Fermi is the easiest option if you arrive from the west (Frejus, Susa Valley): the metro reaches Porta Susa and Porta Nuova in minutes.
The blue-line area is split into four tariffs. The ZTL Centrale tariff (€2.80 an hour) applies in the historic centre, the ordinary tariff (€1.70) in the surrounding districts, and the reduced (€1.50) and smart (€1.20) tariffs further out. Parking is paid Monday to Saturday, 8:00 to 19:30; around seven hospitals the paid period ends at 18:30.
How to pay. At the meter with coins or a bank card, with GTT vouchers and day passes from GTT resellers, or by the minute with the GTT SostAPP app (also in English, French and Spanish). A GTT day pass for the ordinary tariff costs €11.50 and covers all spaces at €1.70 or less; the ZTL Centrale day pass costs €19. See GTT tariffs and passes.
White-line spaces outside the blue area are free, but GTT publishes only a map of the paid zones, so we do not name specific free streets.
