Street parking in Tours costs €2 an hour in the red zone (maximum 3 hours) and €1.50 in the blue zone (maximum 5 hours), and it is free every day between 12:00 and 14:00, after 18:30, on Sundays and on public holidays. Covered car parks bookable on Parclick start at €1.12 an hour, and Fil Bleu park-and-ride sites cost €4.10 with bus and tram all day. Do you need a car? Not to see Tours itself: the Vieux-Tours, Rue Nationale and the Loire riverside are easy on foot and the tram covers the rest. Tours has about 3,400 paid street spaces in two zones, shown on the meter screen: the red zone in the heart of the city, limited to 3 hours, and the blue zone around it, limited to 5 hours. Street parking is paid Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 18:30. It is free before 9:00, after 18:30, every day between 12:00 and 14:00, and on Sundays and public holidays.

Both tariffs are designed to keep cars moving: the last step costs €30, the same as a parking fine. If you need more than 2 hours in the red zone or more than 4 hours in the blue zone, a covered car park or a park and ride is cheaper.

Disabled drivers. Holders of a European disabled parking card or a CMI “stationnement” card park free in paid bays. The original, valid card must be clearly visible behind the windscreen.

Under Place Anatole-France, at the end of Rue Nationale, facing the Loire and the Pont Wilson. Handy for the riverside, Rue Nationale and the old town. Parclick showed prices from €2.02 for 1 h 15. See Indigo Anatole France on Parclick.
Place du Général-Leclerc, in front of Tours station and the Vinci convention centre. The best choice if you drive in to catch a train. Parclick showed prices from €2.64 for two hours. See Indigo Gare on Parclick.
Rue Émile-Zola, close to Rue Nationale and the town hall. Useful for a full day: Parclick showed €14.78 for 19 hours. See Indigo Nationale on Parclick.
Fil Bleu, the Tours public transport network, runs seven park-and-ride car parks (P+R) around the city. The height limit is 2.20 m and you may park for one day at most. They are free for Fil Bleu pass holders. For other drivers, Fil Bleu gives a price of €4.10 + €0.10 per person, which covers bus and tram all day for 1 to 4 people (€4.40 for three). The same page also says the P+R ticket is no longer sold and that you can buy a ticket from the bus driver or as an M-Ticket in the Fil Bleu app, so check the machine on site before you park.

There is no permanent free car park in the centre that we could confirm, but every paid street space becomes free:
For a weekend, park on Saturday after 18:30: the space stays free until 9:00 on Monday. The City of Tours also publishes a map of free and paid car parks and park-and-ride sites on its parking page.
Tours Métropole created a low-emission zone (ZFE-m) in 2025, in which every vehicle needed a Crit’Air sticker of any class. In August 2025 the Métropole announced that it had suspended enforcement of the ZFE-m until Parliament made a final decision. On 21 May 2026 the French Constitutional Council struck down the article of law that would have abolished low-emission zones. The Tours Métropole website could not be reached on 24 October 2026, so check its ZFE page before you travel.

Order the sticker a few weeks before your trip: it arrives by post. Foreign-registered cars order it on the same official website.
