✓ UP TO DATELast updated: 22 October 2026
Rebuilt from Avignon Tourisme, Orizo and Effia tariffs: Centre Gare hourly, daily and summer rates, free 30 minutes, free park-and-ride and Avignon TGV car parks; removed old review scores and phone numbers.

Do you need a car? Not for Avignon itself: the walled centre is compact and best seen on foot. A car pays off for the Luberon villages, the Pont du Gard and the Camargue. How Parking Works at Avignon Centre Station in 2026

Avignon has two stations. Avignon Centre (Gare Centre) stands just outside the city walls at the end of Rue de la République and is served mainly by TER regional trains. Avignon TGV is a separate high-speed station south of the city, with its own Effia car parks. This guide is about the centre station; the TGV car parks are summarised further down.

The car park directly opposite Avignon Centre is Parking Centre Gare, run by Avignon Tourisme with 778 covered spaces. Two free park-and-ride sites, Piot and Italiens, have free shuttles into the walled centre.

Arriving at Avignon TGV Instead?
