Car parks near Plaça Europa and the Fira Gran Via can be booked online from €4.99 for six hours. The whole city lies inside Barcelona’s low-emission zone, which applies on weekdays from 7:00 to 20:00. L’Hospitalet de Llobregat borders Barcelona to the south-west and shares its metro network, so many visitors use it as a cheaper base for the Fira Gran Via exhibition centre, the Bellvitge hospital or Barcelona itself. Street parking is regulated by colour: blue bays for short stays, green bays mainly for residents and yellow bays for loading. The zones are run by La Farga, a municipal company. The whole city is inside the Barcelona low-emission zone (ZBE Rondes de Barcelona), which matters if your car is old or registered abroad.

According to La Farga, L’Hospitalet has 1,043 blue spaces, 7,114 green spaces and 1,265 yellow loading bays spread over twelve neighbourhoods. The tariffs are set by the municipal fiscal ordinance 2.12: €1.75 per hour in the blue zone and €2.25 per hour in the green zone for drivers without a resident permit. In both zones a visitor may stay two hours at most. Residents with a green-zone permit park in their own area without a time limit.

Yellow bays are for loading and unloading, Monday to Friday 8:00–20:00 and Saturday 8:00–14:00, for half an hour at most. Under the ordinance, cars showing the Spanish DGT “Zero emissions” or “ECO” label do not pay in the blue and green zones.
We could not confirm any other guaranteed free streets from an official source, so we do not list any. L’Hospitalet is one of the most densely populated cities in Europe and free kerb space is scarce.

Covered car park on Carrer de Castelao, open 24 hours, about seven minutes on foot from the Gran Via 2 shopping centre and close to Plaça Europa. Height limit 2.10 m. The gate opens by a phone call from the number registered with your booking.
Covered and guarded, open 24 hours, entry and exit by number-plate recognition. On the Granvia next to the courts complex, on the border with Barcelona. Height limit 1.90 m.

For the Bellvitge University Hospital, Parclick also lists the PARKIA Hospital de Bellvitge car park on Carrer de la Feixa Llarga, but showed no online price for it on the day we checked. Next to the Fira, the Hotel Fira Congress car park on Carrer de José Agustín Goytisolo was listed from €15 per day in the open air and €18 covered.
The Gran Via venue of Fira de Barcelona stands in L’Hospitalet, at Avinguda Joan Carles I, 64. Fira states that the venue has 4,580 parking places, but it does not publish a public price list, and during large events access is organised by each show. If you want certainty, book one of the car parks above or leave the car further out and arrive by metro: line L9 Sud stops at Fira and Europa/Fira, and line L10 Sud at Foc.
The ZBE covers Barcelona inside its ring roads and the whole of L’Hospitalet. It applies Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 20:00; at night, at weekends and on public holidays every vehicle may drive. During those hours cars, motorcycles and vans without a Spanish DGT environmental label may not circulate. In practice these are petrol cars older than Euro 3 (usually registered before 2000) and diesel cars older than Euro 4 (usually before 2005 or 2006).

Control is automatic: cameras read number plates and compare them with the DGT database and the metropolitan register. Barcelona City Council states that fines start at €100. The register is on the official site zbe.barcelona; we could not open its fee page today, so check the current registration fee there before you travel. A rental car collected in Spain normally carries a DGT label already.
L’Hospitalet is in fare zone 1, the same as Barcelona. Metro lines L1 and L5 cross the northern and central neighbourhoods on their way to Plaça d’Espanya, Plaça de Catalunya and Sants, and lines L9 Sud and L10 Sud serve the Fira and Plaça Europa area. A single ticket costs €2.90 and a ten-journey T-casual €13 in 2026. With three free hours at Gran Via 2 or a pre-booked car park near Plaça Europa, this is usually cheaper than driving into central Barcelona.
