Do you need a car? For Verona itself, hardly: the historic centre is compact and walkable, and its limited traffic zone (ZTL) makes driving in the old town awkward. A car pays off for Lake Garda, the Valpolicella wineries or the Dolomites, and the rental desks are right at the airport: compare car rental at Verona Airport (VRN) on DiscoverCars, or read our Italy car hire guide first.
Sommacampagna is a small town west of Verona, and most drivers who look for parking here are flying from Verona Villafranca Airport (VRN): the airport stands in the village of Caselle di Sommacampagna. The airport runs about 4,500 spaces in six official car parks next to the terminal, and private shuttle car parks nearby can be booked on Parclick. This page compares both, with today’s official prices.

What a week at Verona Airport costs
Official on-site tariffs, 24 October 2026
All six car parks are inside the airport road system, within walking distance of the arrivals and departures terminal, and are covered by CCTV around the clock according to the airport. The choice is simple: P2, P1 and P4 bis cost €25 a day (P2 and P4 bis are covered, useful against hail in summer), while P2 bis, P3 and P4 cost €20 a day. From the eighth day every car park adds €10 a day, so two weeks in P3 cost €105 + 7 × €10 = €175 at the drive-up rate.
Enter your dates on the airport’s parking page to see the online price. At the entrance a camera reads your number plate and recognises the booking from 3 hours before to 3 hours after the booked start time; take the ticket that is printed automatically and enter even if the display says “full”. If you stay longer than booked, the extra time is charged at the standard rate.
Without a booking you simply drive in and pay on your return at the automatic pay machines (cash, credit or debit card) before you go back to the car.
Private car parks outside the airport perimeter take you to the terminal by shuttle. Parclick lists these near Sommacampagna; the price appears once you enter your dates:
For longer trips compare their quote with the official €20 and €25 daily rates, and check the shuttle times against your flight, especially for very early departures.
If you are visiting the town itself, we could not find a paid-parking tariff or a list of car parks on the municipality’s website today, so we do not name individual car parks here. Follow the signs in the centre and check any time limits on the spot. Verona’s Arena is about 15 km from the airport by road and Gardaland, on Lake Garda, about 25 km.
Verona has a limited traffic zone (ZTL) in the historic centre: do not drive past an active gate with a rental car. Our guide to ZTL zones in Italy explains the signs, and the Italy toll calculator shows motorway costs for the A4 and A22.
