Terracina’s blue-line meters do not have an official tariff online, but the city’s visitor passes do: €35 for 15 days, €60 for a month and €120 for 120 days in all paid parking areas in 2026. Fully electric cars park free in metered bays. For the hydrofoil to Ponza, port parking starts at €15 for 7 hours (Kingparking valet) or €7 a day for longer stays (ParkinGO with shuttle). This guide covers the passes, ferry parking and car hire at Rome Fiumicino.

Do you need a car? For Terracina itself, not really: the seafront and the lower town are walkable. A car pays off for Sabaudia (about 20 minutes), Sperlonga (about 55 minutes) or the Circeo National Park. Most visitors fly into Rome: compare car rental at Rome Fiumicino Airport on DiscoverCars, about 2 hours 15 minutes away by car. Our Italy car rental guide explains deposits and insurance.
Terracina has blue-line paid parking (strisce blu) in the town and along the seafront, paid at the meters or with a municipal pass sold online through Park For Fun. The City of Terracina does not publish its hourly meter tariff online, so check the price on the meter. What is published are the passes: for visitors €35 for two weeks, €60 for a month and €120 for 120 days, valid in all paid parking areas. Fully electric cars park free in metered bays with no time limit. For the ferry to Ponza, two private car parks near the port can be booked online.

What parking costs in Terracina
City passes and car park prices, 26 October 2026
The blue bays are paid at the meters, and the city also sells passes that cover all its paid parking areas. They are worth it if you stay in Terracina for a week or more: non-residents pay €35 for 15 days, €60 for a month or €120 for 120 days. You buy them online on parkforfun.com with your car’s details, or at the city’s Economato office. Residents and people who work or own a business in Terracina pay less (from €20). Fully electric cars can use the metered bays free of charge, with no time limit, under a 2021 council decision; Park For Fun sells a free “green” pass for them.
The city does not publish the hourly tariff, paid hours or the summer season on its website. Read the meter before you leave the car: rules on the seafront can differ from the town centre.
NLG hydrofoils sail from the port on Via del Molo to Ponza. In 2026 its timetable ran from 17 April to 4 October, with up to three daily departures in July and August (8:40, 11:40 and 17:15). NLG’s fare list covers passengers, luggage and pets only, so plan to leave the car on the mainland (NLG Terracina–Ponza). Two private car parks can be booked ahead:
Via del Molo 40. You hand over the car about 100 m before the boarding point, on the right, and staff park it and bring it back when you return. Open 24 hours; Parclick showed prices from €15 for 7 hours, and bookings can be changed or cancelled free until 23:59 the day before arrival. See Kingparking on Parclick.
Via delle Industrie, about 4 km (7 minutes) from the port. Open 24 hours and guarded, with a free shuttle to and from the port. ParkinGO advertises prices from €7 a day for a 14-day stay. ParkinGO Terracina page.
Only for some drivers and outside the blue lines. Fully electric cars park free in the metered bays. White-lined bays (strisce bianche) outside the paid areas are normally free unless a sign says otherwise; yellow bays are reserved for residents, disabled badge holders or deliveries. The city does not publish a list of free car parks, so in summer arrive early or use one of the bookable car parks.
Terracina has a lower town by the sea and the historic upper town around Piazza del Municipio, with the Temple of Jupiter Anxur on the hill above. We could not find an official page on traffic restrictions in the upper town. As in most Italian old towns, look for “Zona a traffico limitato” signs and camera gates, and do not drive past them without a permit.
