You drive through the Varco gates, park, and the free port shuttle loops to the terminals. Book online in summer; turn-up-and-pray works in November, not July.
The licensed operators on the port's edge (ParkinGO and peers) undercut in-port rates by 30–50% on longer sailings, with fenced lots, CCTV and shuttles timed to ship schedules. The trade-off is 10–15 extra minutes each way – trivial on a 10-day cruise, annoying on a weekend hop.
