The only car park inside the port of Civitavecchia is Port Mobility’s Parcheggio Nord: €17 per 24 hours, or €79 for a 7-day cruise in high season (€69 if you pay online), with a free shuttle to the ship. From 1 November to 15 May the week costs €69 on site or €59 online. Private lots outside the port with their own transfer start at €25 a day on Parclick, and for a Rome day trip the train is the better choice than driving.

Parcheggio Nord is run by Port Mobility, the port’s service company, and it is the only car park inside the port gates. It has 226 standard spaces plus 15 for disabled drivers (those are not bookable online). You keep your keys, and the area is watched by staff.
Several private car parks on the edge of town take cruise passengers and drive them to the terminal. Two of them can be booked on Parclick:

If your car travels on the ferry with you, you need no car park: follow the boarding lanes to the ADM ferry terminal. If you leave the car behind, Parcheggio Nord works for ferry passengers too, and the free ordinary shuttle stops right outside it.
Paid street parking (blue bays) in Civitavecchia is regulated by the city and run by Civitavecchia Servizi Pubblici (CSP). The city does not publish the current tariff online, so check the sign and the meter by your bay. Blue bays suit an hour in the old town or lunch by the seafront before boarding, not a car left for a week. White bays are free where you find them, but there is no guarded free parking near the port.
Civitavecchia station is 1–1.5 km from the port (10–20 minutes on foot), and trains to Rome leave about every 30 minutes, reaching Rome in under an hour. On ship days only, a CSP bus links the station with the cruise docks for €6 each way (Port Mobility station guide). Inside the port, the ordinary shuttle is free and runs every 20–25 minutes, from 5:30 to 23:00 in November and December 2026 (shuttle timetable). Do you need a car in Civitavecchia? Not for the town or for Rome: the station is a 10–20 minute walk from the port and trains to Rome leave about every 30 minutes. A car makes sense after the cruise, for Tuscany, the Etruscan towns or the Lazio coast.
