For a whole day, the cheapest published option nearby is Telpark at Oriente station, with a €9.90 daily maximum. This guide covers the Arena Expo prices and passes, the other car parks in Parque das Nações, EMEL street parking after the August 2026 tariff rise and how to reach the arena without a car.

✓ UP TO DATELast updated: 14 October 2026
Rewritten from saba.pt, Parclick, Telpark, EMEL and the MEO Arena’s own pages: 405 spaces and from €1.90/h (not 1,400 spaces and €1.20–1.80/h), new EMEL tariffs from 4 August 2026 and 2026 metro fares; invented event packages, loyalty tiers and car parks removed.

Do you need a car? Not for the arena: the metro, trains and buses stop at Oriente, 400 m away. For Sintra, Cascais, Setúbal or the Alentejo you do. Lisbon Airport is about 10 minutes from the arena; compare prices for car rental at Lisbon Airport on DiscoverCars, or read our guide to car rental in Lisbon.

SABA Arena Expo at a Glance

SABA Arena Expo is the underground car park at the end of Rua do Bojador, right next to the MEO Arena (formerly Altice Arena) in Parque das Nações. The arena itself names it as the car park for visitors arriving by car. It also serves the FIL exhibition centre, the Oceanário and the restaurants along the river.

Saba does not publish a daily maximum or a full tariff table for this car park online; the tariff is displayed at the entrance. For a long stay, Saba sells a prepaid Multiday pass on its website: when we checked, it was offered at €13.95, marked as 62 % below the standard rate for the same period. The pass must be bought before you arrive, is valid only in this car park and allows unlimited entries and exits. On arrival you take a ticket and exchange it at the desk, or through the intercom when no staff are on duty.

Book SABA Arena Expo in advance: the car park is bookable on Parclick with a guaranteed space and a basic, multi-car-park or unlimited pass. Bookings can be changed or cancelled up to one hour before arrival. At the barrier, use the intercom and give your booking details.
On concert nights: everyone leaves at the same time, so expect queues at the exit and on Avenida Dom João II. If you do not need the car straight after the show, a car park a few minutes’ walk away, or the metro, is often the quicker way home.

Concert or event at the MEO Arena: SABA Arena Expo, ideally pre-booked. Whole day or overnight: Telpark Gare Oriente with its €9.90 daily maximum. Train or metro trip: Saba Gare do Oriente or Telpark. Late show and back after midnight: avoid Centro Vasco da Gama, whose exits close at 01:00.

Street Parking in Parque das Nações

Street parking in Lisbon is run by the municipal company EMEL. Where a street in Parque das Nações is metered, the colour on the meter sets the price. EMEL raised its tariffs for the first time in 15 years; the new values apply from 4 August 2026 and are being phased in, so some meters and apps may still show the old price.

EMEL tariffPrice per hour from 4 Aug 2026Before
Green€0.85€0.80
Yellow€1.25€1.20
Red€1.70€1.60
Brown€2.10€2.00
Daily ticket (signposted zones only, Mon–Fri 9:00–19:00)green €2.15 / yellow €3.15 per day–

You can pay at the meter or with apps such as ePark, Via Verde Estacionar, Telpark or EasyPark. EMEL does not publish which colour applies to each street online, so check the meter. Parts of Parque das Nações, around the riverside pavilions and the Oceanário, are an EMEL restricted-access zone: only authorised vehicles may drive and park there, and deliveries are limited to set hours. On event nights, street spaces near the arena fill up early.

Getting to the MEO Arena Without a Car

Metro

Oriente station on the red line is the arena’s metro stop. A single Carris/Metro ticket costs €1.90 in 2026 (€1.72 with zapping credit on a Navegante card); a 24-hour ticket costs €7.25. The airport is three stops away on the same line.

Train

Oriente station, about 400 m from the arena, is served by suburban, regional and long-distance trains.

Bus and taxi

Carris routes 705, 725, 750, 759 and 794 stop near the arena during the day, routes 208 and 210 at night. There are taxi ranks at Oriente station and at the main entrance of Centro Vasco da Gama.

Park and ride from the airport side: if you are staying near the airport or flying out the next morning, leaving the car at your hotel and taking the red line to Oriente avoids the exit queue after the show.
