SABA Peninsula is a covered 552-space car park on Praca do Bom Sucesso in Porto's Boavista district, open daily 07:00–01:00 (NOT 24h). The first-hour rotation rate is €2.35 (~$2.56), the Multidia 24-hour pass is €9.90 (~$10.79) and prebooking through Parclick saves up to 70%. It sits 650 m (9 min walk) from Casa da Musica metro, has a 1.80 m height limit, three EV charging bays, accessible spaces and Via Verde at the gates. To reach the historic centre (Aliados, Sao Bento, Ribeira) you are faster on the metro than walking. On Sundays and public holidays Porto's on-street tariff in Boavista is free.
SABA Peninsula is run by SABA Estacionamentos (an international parking operator with sites in Spain, Portugal, France and beyond). The main entrance is at Praca do Bom Sucesso 127 with a secondary entry from Rua de Agramonte. The garage sits under the Mercado do Bom Sucesso and is a short walk from Casa da Musica, the Boavista roundabout hotels and Shopping Cidade do Porto, making it one of the most useful parking spots in northwest Porto.

Praca do Bom Sucesso is in the Boavista area of Porto (parish of Lordelo do Ouro e Massarelos). It is not the historic centre, but it is perfectly connected by metro. Verified walking distances from Google Maps:
| Destination | Walking distance | Quicker option |
|---|---|---|
| Casa da Musica metro | 650 m / 9 min | — |
| Avenida dos Aliados | 2.2 km / 31 min | Metro: 1 stop (Trindade) |

Casa da Musica metro is served by lines A, B, C, E and F, so you can reach the historic centre (Trindade, Aliados, Bolhao, Sao Bento) in minutes without dealing with traffic or the Porto CAZ access restrictions.
Before booking, it helps to know what else is around. We compared five covered car parks in Porto that serve travellers staying in Boavista or wanting to enter the city without facing historic-centre traffic.
The park we are reviewing here: next to the Mercado do Bom Sucesso, Casa da Musica and the Boavista roundabout hotels. Multidia at €9.90 (~$10.79) is the best value. Covered, on-site security, EV charging and Via Verde at the gates.
Same operator, fully 24h. Best choice if you need the car overnight or have an early flight. Rotation rate around €2.35–€2.55/h. Google Maps 3.7/5 (101 reviews).
The closest SABA park to the pedestrian Aliados, Sao Bento and Se zone. Ideal if you want the car practically under your hotel. Open 24h, first hour €2.55. Google Maps 3.7/5 (~187 reviews).
Large STCP-managed garage near Bolhao Market and Trindade metro. Daily max around €15 (~$16.35) and 24h opening – the go-to alternative when SABA Cardosas is full.
Cheaper option if you are not staying around Boavista. Daily flat at €12.50 (~$13.63) and a 2.10 m height that fits roof-rack SUVs. 150 m from Marques metro (lines A, B, C, E, F), good entry point coming from the north (A4/IC1).
Daily-rate comparison – 24h pass or flat
Covered car parks near SABA Peninsula
If you would rather not pay a garage, three nearby areas let you park cheaply or free – as long as you understand Porto's on-street tariff rules.
Rua de Agramonte, next to the secondary entrance of SABA Peninsula, is on-street tariffed at roughly €0.50/h – under a fifth of the garage's first-hour rate. Caveats: paid Mon–Fri 09:00–19:00 with a 10-hour cap.
The Casa da Musica P+R lot works as a park-and-ride: leave the car for free and take the metro to Trindade (12 min). Round-trip ticket ~€2 (~$2.18). This avoids historic-centre traffic and parking fees alike. The catch: it fills up on concert nights.
If you are approaching from the south (A1, A29), you can park free on several streets in Gaia near the port-wine cellars. Walk across the D. Luis I bridge (5 min) straight into Ribeira. The best option for a full day in the historic centre without entering the CAZ.
Machines accept Multibanco, Visa/Mastercard and contactless. They give a few cents to a euro of change in coins, so avoid large notes. Take your ticket, walk back, pay at the machine, then use it at the exit reader.
SABA Peninsula has Via Verde readers on entry and exit barriers – if your transponder is on the windscreen the spot is billed automatically through your Via Verde account, no machine stop needed.
For Porto's public on-street tariff, the two official apps are Telpark and Via Verde Estacionar. They let you start/stop sessions without coins and extend remotely. Neither works inside the SABA Peninsula garage (private operator).
| Rule | Detail | Fine |
|---|---|---|
| Tariffed zone (Boavista) | Mon–Fri 09:00–19:00. Zone I €0.40/15 min up to €2.40/2h. | €30+ if no ticket |
| Sat / Sun / public holiday | Free except Zone I on Saturday 11:00–16:00. | — |
| Yellow lines | No parking or stopping. | €60+ |
| Resident-only bays | Specific sign – off-limits to visitors, including at night. | €30–150 |
| Hydrants / crossings | Tow risk. | €120+ + tow |
The garage sits behind Hotel da Musica, Mercure Porto Centro Mercado, B&B Porto Centro and dozens of apartment rentals. For visitors staying in Boavista, it is the most convenient and secure place for the car.
Concerts, conferences and food-market visits drive heavy demand. Prebook via Parclick to lock in a spot on concert nights.
Instead of trying to drive into Ribeira (and risking a €68 fine), leave the car at Peninsula and take the metro: you reach Sao Bento in 5 minutes without plate-registration headaches, narrow streets or luggage.
If you land between 07:00 and 01:00, SABA Peninsula at €9.90/day is cheaper than airport parking, with a 30-min drive to the terminal and metro line E from Estacao Casa da Musica direct to the airport.
Both within 5–10 min walk. Multidia easily beats the mall garage hourly rate. Multidia + a meal at Mercado do Bom Sucesso is one of the best combos in Porto.
Verified on 22 May 2026. SABA Peninsula has 1.4/5 on Google Maps (16 reviews) – a low score that mostly reflects frustration from drivers who paid rotation without knowing about Multidia. SABA Portugal overall scores 3.8/5 on eKomi (81 reviews).

Updated May 2026
Porto City Hall is gradually expanding CAZPorto with more ANPR cameras across the historic centre, which strengthens the case for parking outside the centre. SABA Peninsula has kept its rate and hours for 2026; the Multidia pass rose from €7.90 (the reference price still quoted in older Google replies) to the current €9.90, but remains the cheapest way to use the garage for a half-day or more. No move to 24-hour operation is planned for this specific park as of May 2026 – for that, use SABA Casa da Musica.
No. The car park is open every day from 07:00 to 01:00. You cannot enter or exit between 01:00 and 07:00. For 24-hour needs use SABA Casa da Musica 750 m away or SABA Cardosas in the centre.
The first rotation hour is €2.35 (~$2.56). The Multidia 24-hour pass is the cheapest option at €9.90 (~$10.79) and allows multiple entries and exits in 24 hours. Parclick prebookings save up to 70% over the counter rate.
