During the purchasing process, select the date you plan to arrive. After making the online payment you will receive a voucher via email with you reservation code.
On the date of your reservation, enter the parking lot as usual, take a ticket at the entrance and park in any empty spot.
Once you’re out of the car, approach the control booth with the Parclick voucher and the ticket you took. Our staff there will check your reservation using the reservation code, and will give you a card that will allow you multiple ins and outs.
Saba Cardosas (Rua Trindade Coelho 16) is the closest 24/7 covered garage to São Bento station — just one block from the Clérigos tower. Book online from €22.90/day on Parkimeter (versus walk-in drive-up which is more expensive). But Porto has plenty of alternatives: AMT-style municipal garages, Telpark, and the much cheaper Park+Bus interchange lots if you are happy to take the metro into the centre. Porto has no Low Emission Zone in 2026 (Lisbon is the only Portuguese ZER), but it does have five restricted-access ZAAC zones in the historic centre with €7.50 per 15-minute fines.

Saba Cardosas is in the top tier on location, but it is not always the cheapest. Here is the 2026 lineup for the four blocks around São Bento, Aliados and Batalha — all verified on operator websites this month.
Subject of this guide. 24/7, EV charging, modern Saba app, 1-minute walk to São Bento station and Rua das Flores. Book online to lock €22.90/day, otherwise you are paying drive-up rates.
Under Praça de Lisboa right next to the Clérigos tower and Livraria Lello. 24/7, same Saba operator, slightly cheaper at €23.72/day pre-booked. Easier to find when Cardosas is full.
380 spaces directly under Praça D. João I on Aviz Aliados, two minutes to the Câmara Municipal. Pay through the Telpark app. Public hourly grid not displayed – rates posted at the entrance.
Municipal garage operated by STCP Serviços. 357 spaces, 24/7, height 2.10 m. Pay-as-you-go at €0.30 / 15 min (roughly €1.20/h) – the lowest hourly rate in central Porto. Monthly subscription €80. A short walk from Trindade metro and the Avenida da Boavista corridor.
At the foot of Rua Alexandre Herculano next to Bolhão Market and Café Majestic. Around €1.40 for the first hour and a day cap close to €15 – the cheapest 24-hour rate of the central five if you stay all day.

Higher is better
If you are happy to walk 15-20 minutes or use the metro, you can park for free outside the central ZEDL.
Residential streets around Praça do Dr. Francisco Sá Carneiro (Praça Velasquez) and parallel to Avenida dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra still have generous free parking. Bus 500 runs every 10-15 minutes from Foz back to Praça da Liberdade.
Free unrestricted street parking around the Matosinhos seafront and Senhor de Matosinhos. Walk five minutes to the Brito Capelo metro stop and ride Line A directly into Trindade in 18 minutes. The seafood restaurants are arguably better than anything in central Porto anyway.
Free on-street parking around the stadium on non-match days. On FC Porto home matches the entire area is closed off. Telpark operates an official Park & Ride at Estádio do Dragão metro – cheap but not free.
Porto uses the ZEDL system (Zonas de Estacionamento de Duração Limitada). Blue painted kerbs = paid. Yellow = no parking at any time. Hourly rate depends on the zone.
| Zone | Hourly rate | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Zone I | €1.20/h | Baixa core, Cedofeita, Aliados |
| Zone II | €0.60/h | Inner ring |
| Zone III / IV | €0.40/h | Outer Boavista, Foz periphery |
Enforcement: Mon-Sat 09:00-19:00 in Baixa, Cedofeita, Boavista. FREE Sundays and public holidays.
Three official apps are accepted in Porto for paying ZEDL street parking, plus the orange parking meters still in use.
Most widely used. Works for both street ZEDL and Telpark garages (D. João I, others). Set a session, stop when you leave, pay only for the time used.
If you already have a Via Verde transponder for Portuguese motorway tolls, you can use the same account for street parking. Settles monthly to your bank account.
The Portugal-wide third option, with German-language support that makes it the easiest pick for visitors arriving from northern Europe.
Porto does not have a Low Emission Zone in 2026 – the planned ZER is still in the study phase. What Porto does have is the ZAAC (Zonas de Acesso Automóvel Condicionado), five automated camera-controlled access zones in the historic core.
| ZAAC zone | Camera-active hours |
|---|---|
| Cedofeita | Daily 21:00 – 11:00 (overnight) |
| Flores | Daily 06:30 – 11:00 and 17:30 – 20:00 |
| Ribeira | Daily 06:30 – 11:00 and 17:30 – 20:00 |
| Santa Catarina | Daily 00:00 – 11:00 |
| Carmelitas | Daily during active enforcement window |
Fee for unauthorised access: €7.50 per 15-minute fraction, per zone. Register at zaac.cm-porto.pt before entering.
This is exactly where Saba Cardosas sits. Park here for the Café Majestic, Livraria Lello and the Clérigos area.
ZAAC restricted access in the early evening. Drop your car at Cardosas or Praça de Lisboa and walk down via Rua das Flores. Driving in is not worth the fines.
Across the Dom Luís I bridge. Several Telpark lots near the cable car and Sandeman / Graham's cellars. Bookable through the Telpark app.
Zona ZEDL Zone I/II. Underground Telpark at Casa da Música is the most reliable evening option after concerts.
Free on-street parking once you leave the Foz centre. Avenida do Brasil is paid; the parallel streets are not.
The biggest change for 2026: the ZAAC system has been expanded with more reliable ANPR cameras, and fines now arrive by post even after foreign visitors have left the country – your rental company will forward them. The proposed ZER (emissions zone) is still in the study phase and not enforced. Saba network-wide is running a 15% discount through 2026 when you book on saba.pt before arriving.
Yes – it is open every day, all hours, with automated entry and exit. EV charging is available on site.
Pre-book Saba Cardosas online via Parkimeter or Parclick from 22.90 euros per 24 hours. The walk-in drive-up rate is higher and not publicly posted. For longer stays, Parque da Trindade (STCP) at 0.30 euros per 15 minutes is the cheapest hourly garage in the city centre.
No. Lisbon is the only Portuguese city with an active ZER. Porto has the ZAAC system, which is access-restricted by time of day in the historic centre, not by vehicle emissions. Register your plate at zaac.cm-porto.pt before entering.
Yes – the ZEDL street meter system is not enforced on Sundays and public holidays. You can park free on any blue-marked kerb. Garages still charge their normal rate.
Telpark, Via Verde Estacionar and EasyPark all work in Porto. The Lisbon ePark / EMEL app does NOT work in Porto – it is Lisbon-only.
The metro Park & Ride at Estádio do Dragão is paid and operated by Telpark. There is some free on-street parking nearby on non-match days, but on FC Porto home matches the entire area is closed.
Disclosure: When you reserve parking through Parclick using the link above we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This does not influence which garages we recommend – only operators we verified on primary sources are listed.
Fact-checked: 27 May 2026 from primary sources: Saba Cardosas, ZAAC Porto, Parque da Trindade STCP, Telpark Porto. Rates may change – confirm at the meter or in the app.
