On the date of your reservation, enter the parking lot as usual, take a ticket at the entrance and park in any empty spot.
Once you’re out of the car, approach the control booth with the Parclick voucher and the ticket you took. Our staff there will check your reservation using the reservation code, and will give you a card that will allow you multiple ins and outs.
Key takeaway: Parque do Carregal sits on Rua Prof. Jaime Rios de Sousa 61 in central Porto, run by PARKin Mobility (not SABA, not Empark, not municipal). It is an indoor 24/7 garage with a lift and 2.10 m height limit. The operator publishes a “from €15 first day” headline rate; Parclick pre-book usually undercuts walk-up by 30–60%. About 700 m / 9 minutes' walk from Torre dos Clérigos, 950 m from Aliados and 1.4 km from Ribeira. Combine with the April 2026 Carmelitas ZAAC expansion — six new restricted streets near Clérigos — and pre-booking off-street is now the cleanest option for Baixa visits.
| Option | Price 2026 | USD equivalent |
|---|---|---|
| Operator “first day” headline | from €15.00 | $16.20 |
| Parclick pre-book (24h) | typically €9 – €13 | $9.70 – $14.00 |
| Per-hour walk-up (estimated) | ~€2.00 – €2.50 | $2.20 – $2.70 |
| Multi-day stays | quoted by PARKin on request | — |
| Parclick rating | 4.1 / 5 · 109 reviews | — |
PARKin does not publish a per-hour rate online — for stays under a day, walk-in or call ahead. For 24h+ stays, Parclick almost always beats the gate price.
where Carregal sits among Porto's central garages
Walking distance to Hospital de Santo António (150 m), Bombarda Shopping, Museu Nacional Soares dos Reis. Best for Carregal–Cordoaria–Clérigos visits.
From €2.55/h, €22.90/day on Parclick. 200 m to Clérigos — the closest central option.
From €2.65/h. 50 m to Ribeira waterfront, 600 m to Clérigos.
From €2.00/h, €18–€22/day. 100 m to Bolhão Market, 300 m to Aliados.
Right under Praça D. João I. ~€1.80/h, €20–€25/day.
Edge of centre. Cheaper, then metro Line A 12 min to Trindade.
PARKin lists the following on their operator page:
Multiple May 2026 Parclick reviews mention that Google Maps and Apple Maps misroute around the Carregal area because of long-running street works. The reliable approach from the Aliados side is: Rua da Restauração → left onto Rua Prof. Vicente José de Carvalho → past Jardim do Carregal → right onto Rua Prof. Jaime Rios de Sousa. Save the second entrance (Rua Miguel Bombarda 275) as a backup destination in your nav.
Porto's Zonas de Acesso Automóvel Condicionado are managed by Câmara Municipal do Porto via zaac.cm-porto.pt. As of 14 April 2026 the ZAAC perimeter expanded to six streets in the Carmelitas / Clérigos area: Rua das Carmelitas, Rua da Galeria de Paris, Rua do Conde de Vizela, Rua da Fábrica, Rua de Santa Teresa and Rua de Avis. Only residents, shopkeepers, suppliers, taxis, works vehicles and registered visitors can drive in. Unauthorised entry triggers general Portuguese parking infraction fines (€30–€60).
Important correction: the €7.50 per 15-minute fine quoted on some guides is the Lisbon EMEL ePark system — it does not apply to Porto ZAAC. Porto has no LEZ / ZER as of May 2026.
ePark is Lisbon-only. Porto on-street paid parking is municipal. Apps accepted on Porto streets: Telpark (Empark), Via Verde Estacionar and EasyPark. There is no consumer-branded “SmartPark” or “PorPark” app in Porto.

Two new Metro do Porto P&R lots are planned with the Rubi Line (Casa da Música ↔ Santo Ovídio), targeted for late 2026.
PARKin Mobility — a private operator. The garage is not run by SABA, Empark or the municipality. Contact +351 22 208 07 87 or reservas@parkin.pt for multi-day quotes.
The garage is open 24/7 for monthly contract holders and Parclick pre-bookers. The staffed cabin opens Mon–Sat 07:00–00:00 and is closed Sunday.
PARKin's operator page lists “from €15 first day” but does not publish a per-hour rate online. Parclick pre-book is typically €9–€13 for a 24h stay. For multi-day quotes call PARKin.
About 700 m / 9 minutes' walk to Torre dos Clérigos. 950 m to Aliados, 1.4 km down to Ribeira. Hospital de Santo António is 150 m, Bombarda Shopping is on the second entrance.
Yes — PARKin lists EV charging at the garage. Check Electromaps for current connectors and availability.
No — that is the Lisbon EMEL ePark system. Porto ZAAC violations fall under general Portuguese parking infraction fines, typically €30–€60.
Yes. You can reserve a space ahead through a booking platform for a fixed daily rate with free cancellation, which is worth doing in summer and during Arts District events when the central Porto garages fill up. Pre-booking also fixes your price in advance so you are not exposed to walk-in availability or peak demand.
Rarely worth it for longer stays. On-street parking in central Porto is paid blue-zone metered space and is scarce around the Hospital de Santo António and Miguel Bombarda area, with tight time limits. The covered Carregal garage at around €15/day is the stress-free choice if you are staying more than an hour or two; genuinely free on-street spaces only start well outside the centre.
