Eindhoven prices its kerbs like a tech city – about €4.20/hour in the core – but hands you two escape hatches: the P+R Genneper Parken at roughly €2 a day plus €0.50 per person for the return bus, and P+R Station Fuutlaan for rail-side arrivals. South of the centre by the sports parks: park for about €2 a day, hop the city bus (€0.50/person return with the P+R deal) and you're at the Markt in ~15 minutes. For two people that's a fiver, all-in – versus €25+ for six street hours. The lot also serves the Genneper sports venues directly, so check event calendars on football/hockey days.
For shopping, the garages (Heuvel, Admirant, Mathildelaan side) cap days under what the street charges by mid-afternoon. Strijp-S – the Philips-factories-turned-culture-district – has its own garages and paid street grid; evenings there outlast the centre's, so read the signs' end times rather than assuming.
